AB0836 DIAGNOSIS VALUE OF INTERLEUKIN 17 IN SPONDYLOARTHRITIS

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Interleukin 17 (IL-17) is pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a crucial role in spondyloarthritis via the Th17/IL-17 axis. (1) Objectives: We aimed to study diagnosis value of IL-17 serum spondyloarthritis. Methods: conducted case-control study, including 104 subjects divided into 2 groups: -G1: 52 patients meeting Assessment SpondyloArthritis International Society (ASAS) criteria for (SA) -G2: healthy controls matched age and sex. The level was measured using Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). performed ROC analysis computed air under curve (AUC) at assess ability diagnose SA. Statistical “IBM SPSS Statistics” software version 25. Results: Eighty per cent were men (n=41). mean 44.96 ± 13.09 years. onset disease 35.07 12.66 duration 9.25 8.09 Axial radiographic peripheral involvement found 53.8% (n=28) 44.2% (n=23) cases, respectively. Psoriasis noted 46% cases (n=24). ASDAS-CRP 3.21 1.64. significantly higher compared (92.76 71.85 pg/mL 2.67 9.01 pg/mL, respectively, p<0.0001). As shown Figure 1, AUC distinguish between control 0.987 (p<0.0001). cut-off 13.79 (Sensibility= 94.2%, specificity=98.1%). 1. SA (p<0.0001) Conclusion: According previous studies, our showed (2). Interestingly, able with pg/mL. This finding suggests may be useful References: [1]Ruiz de Morales JMG, Puig L, Daudén E, Cañete JD, Pablos JL, Martín AO, et al. The Value of Interleukin-8 and Interleukin-6 in Cervical Secretions as Predictors of Preterm Delivery

Background and Objective: Preterm birth occurs in 8% to 11% of all pregnancies and is responsible for 75% to 80% of all neonatal deaths. Cytokines may be involved in the etiology of preterm birth through their stimulation of prostaglandin synthesis. Cytokines may be released intocervicovaginal fluid during the breakdown of the chorio-decidual adhesion or from an inflammatory reactio...

Serum Interleukin-17 Evaluation in Patients With Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease

Background: Eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders or diseases (EGIDs) may result from an abnormal immune-mediated response to food antigens. Activated eosinophils release various mediators with inflammatory properties which may result in tissue and subsequently organ damage. The cytokine milieu of these patients has revealed increased levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, inc...

IL-17 in spondyloarthritis: is the T-party over?

The past decade has witnessed significant progress in revealing an important role for IL-17 in the pathogenesis of several immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. Recent studies have provided new insights into the cellular source of IL-17, originally identified as the signature cytokine of a distinct CD4(+) T-cell subset known as Th17. Accumulating evidence suggests that the majority of the IL-1...

Interleukin-17 Serum Levels and TLR4 Polymorphisms in Ulcerative Colitis

Background: Inflammatory bowel disease, an autoimmune disease, has two clinical manifestations including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (UC). IL-17 has been the target of intensive research in autoimmune diseases. The influence of Toll like receptor 4 (TLR-4) gene polymorphisms on IL-17 production has also been revealed in UC patients and tissue inflammation in mice. Objectives: To inve...
